1. Why do you want to join?
I wantz to reid lolz.
No, whilst I'm certainly keen to see the inside of Helegrod, the main reason I'm applying is that my previous kinship was terribly inactive. I want to be part of a serious end-game kinship that is both competent and knows that theyre playing a game. Not that that's a diss to any rp'ers, but I've played with people who's lives revolved around phat loots, and theyre no fun.
2. Do you have any experience in a raid type group? PvP?
Plenty. I previously played World of Warcraft, as a Troll Hunter. Before the expansion came out, my guild raided only MC. However, we ended up in a raiding alliance with another guild, and being the most popular class, I was forced to wait outside for many a night. But in the end, I finally established a regular spot in BWL, AQ40 and Naxx runs. BWL we fully cleared regularly, AQ40 we got up to The Twin Emps, but C'Thun was just too much effort when Naxx was so much more rewarding. Cleared two wings of Naxx and got 2 out of 4 from the other two wings. After the expansion hit, I hit 70 in ten days, and ended up leading Karazhan runs three times a week.
PvP wasn't a major focus of mine in WoW, but I certainly didn't avoid it. Had some great times with pre-made teams, but detested most PuG PvP. In LotRO so far, I've hit Rank 1, so haven't been to the 'moors a whole lot, but you'll find I learn quickly. I know the basics though, such as having deep lore slotted for 8 person roots, pets are on passive to stop them getting pulled into NPCs etc.
3. What is your character's name, level, and type?
Beothel, 48 Human Lore-Master.
I picked LM because I knew every man and his dog would be playing a hunter, plus I wanted a change from what I played in WoW. That and I actually am pretty much a lore-master in reguards to most LotR stuff anyway, heh.
Beothel is currently a GM Cook & Farmer, and is working on tailoring. Look me up in-game to check how my gear stands up. I have an alternate off-hand sword for grouping, and whilst I would like to get the Staff of Knowledge as an alternate grouping staff, our class quest item is currently bugged. That said, if anyone has Putrid Fingernails lying around, they no longer drop (devs broke it) and I need 10 of 'em.
My questions!
Firstly, this application becomes pretty much void depending on when you raid Helegrod, which I couldn't find elsewhere. You see, I live in New Zealand, so it makes attendance slightly more complicated.
Now, I have monday's off, which is Sunday over there, so if you raid on sundays, I'm sweet for that one. However, there is currently an 18 hour time difference between where I live and EST. That means that a Thursday 7pm raid is Friday 1pm for me. Why aren't I applying to Eventide Revelry you ask? Well, I'm really quite keen to get serious about end-game, and I don't know how often they're looking to do places such as Helegrod.
I don't get home until 5.30pm most days, so as you can see, attending weekday raids will be impossible. However, your friday, saturday and sunday will be much more do-able.
I understand if this time difference becomes too greater problem. And if so, you can also hit me up when I'm available if you have a spare spot, or want an extra LM.
